Follow the Mackinac conference on aHealthierMichigan

The Detroit Regional Chamber’s annual Mackinac Policy Conference opens up today, and the Blues have got you covered as the region’s top business and policy minds gather for three days on Mackinac Island.

Starting today, the home page of our new aHealthierMichigan site will feature a special Mackinac Policy Conference design. There, you’ll find regularly updated blog posts from the Blues team and guest bloggers, as well as a live Twitter feed of all tweets sent with the conference’s #mpc10 hash tag. We’ll also have a media section with conference-related news.

The conference comes as both Detroit and Michigan look for new ideas to rebuild their economies. And as usual, the conference is stocked with heavyweight speakers, including Sergio Marchionne, chief executive of Chrysler Group LLC; U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius; and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
